Source coverage

Every tracked source stays in the sponsor filter. Counts are actual records in this file, not estimates of a source’s complete inventory.

Federal opportunity discovery and changes

These candidates require relevance and solicitation review before they enter the verified listings. Forecasts are not open calls. North Carolina ABC grants are monitored separately.

Priority items awaiting review
Cycle coverage, verification and outstanding checks

Checked = completed stated public screen; partial = current evidence reviewed but required channels/documents remain incomplete; blocked = no usable current inventory; skipped = off-cycle, actual prior dates and missed-check history preserved. Endpoint retrieval alone is not full screening.

Registry: 140 selectable sources, 84 records. This N–Z + core review has 78 due sources: 8 checked, 58 partial and 12 blocked; 62 off-cycle sources preserved. No new source cards were needed. Honda remains on Saturday with its October 12 evidence and limitations intact.

    • Resolve 27 Grants.gov candidate reviews; retrieval itself has zero errors/deferrals.
    • Complete dynamic bank borrower/corporate inventories, WHO-filtered UNGM, state procurement and portal-only documents.
    • Prior missed A–M checks remain outstanding; no claim of complete weekly coverage.
    • Continue highway-safety, statewide procurement and selected local-agency expansion; current supplements are not exhaustive.

New: TCRP A-59, NC State RISE, FHWA PPPP and FHWA wildlife-crossing research/non-construction funding. Forecasts and unresolved leads are not promoted to open listings. See each source card for actual coverage and dates.

    Sponsor categories

Federal Government, State Government and Local Government identify U.S. public agencies. Quango is used for TRB’s federally supported cooperative research programs administered through the private nonprofit National Academies, federally chartered Amtrak, the E-470 public-authority foundation, the government-member World Road Association and state-funded nonprofit NCInnovation. Federal-State Commission identifies the Appalachian Regional Commission. Multilateral Development Bank is used for the eleven development banks. Intergovernmental organization identifies WHO, procurement platform identifies UNGM, and Government-funded program administered by NGO identifies TRB IDEA. Private research funder distinguishes external research routes from unrelated corporate giving. NGO identifies independent nonprofit sponsors, Private Foundation covers independent philanthropic foundations, and Corporate Philanthropy identifies company giving and affiliated corporate-foundation programs. Categories describe the sponsor, not applicant eligibility.

    Budget definitions and sorting

A project budget is funding for the particular study; an award ceiling limits an individual award; program funding is the pool across awards. A target or anticipated range is not a guaranteed award or hard limit. No amounts are added together.

Budget sorting uses the project amount, individual ceiling or upper end of an anticipated award range, as labeled. Fellowship amounts sort by the main stipend; housing reimbursement is shown separately. Program-only amounts are excluded from numerical sorting and sort with unknown project amounts at the end, in both directions. The FAA research NOFO overrides misleading listing metadata: approximately $6 million is annual program funding, with no individual ceiling. PROTECT’s planning range has no hard ceiling. Amounts are shown in their stated currency. Non-USD amounts retain their original currency and show an approximate USD equivalent using IMF representative rates, respecting each currency’s quote direction; currency-units-per-SDR rates are a fallback only. The original amount remains authoritative; FX-only changes are not sponsor amendments. Converted upper endpoints support numeric sorting, and each converted row identifies its IMF rate date and source.

Not stated means the checked notice supplies no figure or date for that field. Not verified means the evidence could not be fully checked. Neither means zero.

    Eligibility, invitations and prerequisite deadlines

Restricted status does not always mean invitation-only. It can mean membership, geography, institution type, prequalification or an investigator submission limit. Read the row’s requirements and the official notice before preparing a proposal. U.S. federal applications generally require an eligible organization, current SAM registration, a UEI and Grants.gov access; allow time for registration.

SAM.gov includes several distinct stages: the FRA BAA accepts concept papers, the FHWA sources-sought notice gathers capability information only, and the MITRE special notice announces an intended sole-source award. None should be read as an ordinary open RFP. RWJF Health Policy Fellows uses the October 30 reference-letter prerequisite for urgency; applicants who meet it can complete the preliminary application by November 3. The release date is not verified because the full call could not be read. The fellowship is adjacent policy capacity building, not a project research grant.

Iowa Energy Center uses the required notice-of-intent deadline for row urgency and expiration. Its invited full-application date is shown separately, and does not keep the call open to new applicants. Arnold Ventures’ March LOI and May invited-proposal deadlines have both passed. RFx Now rows are EOIs; the later RFP stage is reserved for shortlisted firms. FAA ASCENT funding is limited to consortium universities.

Canadian National’s row is limited to nonprofit applicants in Canada or the United States near CN tracks and uses the September 30 donation-cycle cutoff; the separate November 30 sponsorship window is not treated as the same opportunity. Ford Philanthropy and General Motors do not accept unsolicited general grant proposals, and key Toyota programs are invitation-only. Closed or future corporate cycles remain source cards rather than speculative rows.

Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust accepts applications year-round, with a December 1 cutoff for April review. Its row tracks the next annual review date inferred from the published recurring schedule; passing that date does not establish program closure. Cutoff time is unconfirmed.

FAA 20-01 and NHTSA ITSE are continuing programs with published review schedules. The displayed next date was selected at the source check; later review dates are recorded in notes and do not create duplicate rows. A later cycle or unknown deadline is never assumed to accept applications. Continuing programs may close early or run out of funds.

Deadline calculations, time zones and uncertainty

Deadline colors use calendar days in the published deadline’s time zone, rather than rounded blocks of 24 hours. Verified Eastern Time and Washington, DC time use America/New_York; verified Central Time uses America/Chicago. Stored UTC offsets reflect daylight saving time on each deadline date. Iowa DOT’s November 1, 2026 noon CST falls after the seasonal switch and is unambiguous.

Some notices conflict: MoDOT says “Central” on its cover and “CST” on its index; ADCMS says both ET and EST; PROTECT also conflicts on seconds; the Onslow County air-service RFQ says EST during daylight time; and the amended FHWA crash-modification-factor solicitation conflicts between SAM.gov’s EDT display and EST in the amendment text. During daylight time these are not interchangeable. Both plausible instants are retained. Rows show urgency until the earlier plausible cutoff, then a blue Deadline unconfirmed — cutoff window label; they expire only after the later plausible cutoff. This is a display safeguard, not permission to submit later. Plan for the earlier cutoff and confirm with the sponsor.

Date-only convention: if a date is verified but its time or zone is missing, urgency follows that calendar date in UTC, and the row moves to expired at 00:00 UTC the following day. The row always carries a blue cutoff-unconfirmed label. Iowa Energy Center and the North Carolina eVP Wake BRT and FAMPO rows publish clock times but no verified zone, so they also use this display-only convention. The actual sponsor cutoff may be earlier; never wait for the tracker’s color to change. When no date is verified, the row has no days-remaining claim and is labeled Deadline unconfirmed — acceptance not established.

Colors, expiration order and counts recalculate on load, each minute, when this tab regains focus and when it becomes visible. The clock is the viewer’s device clock. These calculations do not check for new notices, amendments, extensions or cancellations. A stale-data reminder appears seven days after the latest tracker update; individual source check dates may be older. Recheck official notices before acting.

    Updating this file

Edit the embedded JSON in tracker-data to update the snapshot; no backend or external library is needed. Keep source IDs and sponsor/reference combinations stable, update changed notices in place and retain expired entries. Verify amendments and prerequisite stages before changing a date. Set closed only when closure or cancellation is confirmed, and explain it in the notes. Update each affected record’s check date, the source check date and the visible snapshot date together.

Title links lead to official notices or official indexes. Source links require internet access, and some portals may require an account. Bonfire may also block automated access to detail pages and attachments even when the public opportunity index is visible. The table works offline after download. Print includes the current filtered results and expands notes and source coverage.
